About ISKCON Juhu:
The
International Society for Krishna Consciousness
(ISKCON) was established in 1966 by His
Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada
(Srila Prabhupada). ISKCON has since developed
into a worldwide confederation of 10,000
temple devotees and 250,000 congregational
devotees.
Hare Krishna Land, Juhu, Mumbai is set upon
4 acres of prime land and a stone throw
away from the famous Juhu beach. It is an
eloquent tribute to Srila Prabhupada's genius
in spreading Krishna Consciousness that
he had the foresight to construct one of
India's most beautiful temples for Lord
Krishna in Juhu.
Today,
the magnificent temple complex is one of
the most visited in the country and celebrates
the grandest Janmashtami celebrations on
the planet, receiving about three lakh pilgrims.
